A very nicely sorted motor car, exceedingly usable and VSCC eligible.
The car originally an Atlantic saloon left the works for Wrexham on 24th March 1932.
After passing through several owners, the car was exported to the U.S. in the early 1970s.
The car was spotted by a local Register member being delivered to a disreputable car dealer who
subsequently disappeared; leaving it at the restoration company he had employed but neglected to pay.
In 1979 the Register member rediscovered the car in a scrapyard, it had much less bodywork than before,
but he bought it anyway. I was sold on in 1981 to another Register member who repatriated it and started
having it professionally restored while trying to preserve the saloon body. Sadly, it was becoming too
expensive so the car was sold by my father "Malcolm" in 1985. The new owner finished the restoration,
undertaking most of the work himself, including fabricating the sports tourer body. He and his family
enjoyed the car for many years before selling it to the current owner in 2009.
The car is in super condition, with full weather equipment and is also fitted with an "Auster" screen for the
rear passengers.
