  • Morris Cowley 'Bullnose' Tourer

    Morris Cowley ‘Bullnose’ Tourer

    £12,500

A super vintage motorcar, ready to use ‘Now’

After the second world war a boy travelling to School by bus would see this car abandoned in a field where it had been used on the farm as a flatbed truck. There were no back seats and the car was in a sorry state. When the boy was old enough that boy and his father bought the car with many parts in tea chests. That is how the car remained until the late 60s, when the present owner started her restoration. The car was identified, after studying factory records, as a four seater by the president of the Bullnose Morris Club.

Restoration was completed in about 1973 when the car was ready for the road once again as a four seater family car.

The car has taken part in many family rallies with the Bean Car Club and the Bullnose Morris Club, has toured Spain, Germany, Holland, France and Switzerland and has been enjoyed as a wedding car.

The engine has the Oxford bore rather than a Cowley bore, which was an option. This creates a turbulent head that gives the car greater speed than the average for that model.
