    Engine by Pigsty Racing, Phoenix crank & rods, the cam shaft was specially ground from works drawings, large inlet valves and Doyle valve springs, lightened flywheel with heavy duty clutch, supercharger is a Volumex fitted with large SU. Exhaust manifold was specially made.

    Gearbox by Pigsty Racing, 4 speed close ratio plus reverse.

    New back axle including crown wheel and pinion.

    Brakes, hydraulic with specially machined brake drums to give the period look.

    Chassis strengthened & lightened.

    Paint BRG.

    The car has a chassis number and original log book.

    Suspension copy of works beam axle with tubular trailing links, Andre Hartford front and rear shocks, front transverse leaf spring, rear half ecliptic springs.

    A super example of the Lagonda Rapier Model, in fully restored condition.

    This car was first registered to a Mr P Gibbs in Worthing.

    Only 330 Rapiers were built by Lagonda and a further 46 car were built by Rapier Cars Ltd.

    The engine, an 1104cc twin overhead cam was manufactured for Lagonda by Coventry Climax.

    This body by Abbott was fitted to the chassis in the 1950 to accommodate a growing family, the original body being a 2-seater Eagle.

    The gearbox and selector are pre-select, a form of early semi-automatic, very fast change, avoiding crash gear change.

    A super, light, fast sports tourer with good road manners.
